We are a very small Lab mainly dealing with projects connected to Land Cadastre. As we are teaching land surveyors we are focusing on teaching Open source GIS and CAD softwares.
Recently in our lab Gábor Nagy is focusing on research activities in the frame of his PhD which is connected to processing of laser scanning data and visualization of terrain model. He is proposing a new type of diagram which indicates the slope relationship of a given area. The program was written in Python using GDAL and OGR Python modules and processing SRTM.
