Biography

Taehoon is a Researcher at the Artificial Intelligence Research Center (AIRC), National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST), Japan. His major research areas include spatial (spatiotemporal )databases, mobility analysis, spatial analysis, GIS data modeling, and data mining. He works as an expert on international standards related to GIS published by Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC). He also joined an OGC Working Group for Moving Features and IndoorGML, especially he works as an OGC API – Moving Features (OGC API – MF) co-editor now. As one of activity, he developed various software to implement those standards, such as OGC API – MF server implementation with pygeoapi and MobilityDB, moving features visualization tools based on CesiumJS, and so on.
