The Open Source Geospatial Foundation, or OSGeo, today announced that the OSGeo Conference committee has released a request for proposal ([http://www.osgeo.org/conference/rfp http://www.osgeo.org/conference/rfp]), or RFP, for the hosting of the 2011 conference. With the excitement growing for the upcoming FOSS4G event [http://2010.foss4g.org in Barcelona in September], and after a successful event [http://2009.foss4g.org in Sydney] this past October, OSGeo aims for the 2011 conference to again be ”’the”’ geospatial conference of the year. Letters of Intent are ”’due April 9th”’, and the RFP solicitation closes May 21st, 2010.
