Open Source Geospatial Slovenija #5
You are warmly invited to the 5th Open Source Geospatial Slovenia Conference, taking place on 14–15 October 2026 at the Slovenian Forestry Institute in Ljubljana.
The event will again span two days, combining practical workshops with a full day of talks on open-source geospatial technologies, open data, remote sensing and artificial intelligence.

14 October – workshops: geospatial deep learning and change detection with TorchGeo in the morning, followed by QGIS and Mergin Maps for field data collection in the afternoon.

15 October – conference: talks will cover open source and European digital sovereignty, open mapping for the Nepal flood response, field data collection with Mergin Maps, public transport and mobility data, access to Planet satellite imagery, multimodal geospatial machine learning, construction monitoring with open-source tools, and PregledAI, the winning project of the GEO Slovenija Hackathon 2026.
Participation in the conference talks is free. Workshops are free for OSGeo Slovenia members with a paid membership fee. Paid workshop participation is also available for organisations registering their employees.
