FOSSGIS Konferenz 2019 in Dresden – annual german language conference. FOSSGIS Konferenz is similar to the FOSS4G conference with about 400 participants. It is always organized by FOSSGIS e.V., OSM Community and a local team.
FOSSGIS Konferenz addresses local users and businesses to meet, learn about new development & collaborate on local chapter activities in their own language.
During 4 days of conference you can visit many talks, workshops, BoFs and user meetings. Last day is OSM barcamp for mappers and people interested.
Most of the workshops are using OSGeoLive.
We are lucky that we work together with @c3voc. So we can offer livestream of the talks and put videos online right after the conference.
OSM Activities
There are always many activities around OSM with talks, workshops, barcamp, OSM Saturday and the annual OSM Quiz which will identify the OSM king or queen with the the best knowledge of OSM. This year it is even more exciting as @Nakaner has the crown already the second year.
FOSSGIS conferences have developed from the initiative of several small companies and communities who merged forces to be able to manage a larger event. OSGeo has been present with a booth and as honorary host since its conception.
The FOSSGIS conference is hosted by FOSSGIS e.V., the D-A-CH (german speaking) Local Chapter of OSGeo.
