Biography
Graduated in Environmental Technology Management from the University Center of Faculdades Metropolitanas Unidas (FMU/SP), with technological extension in Geoprocessing from the Automation and Information Management Group (GAESI/POLI-USP). As an undergraduate student, I developed integrated projects with urban and environmental planning interfaces, ecological-economic zoning, integrated waste plans and digital cartography. In my work as a consultant, I worked on carbon credit projects, impact assessment studies, environmental licensing, contaminated areas, forest management and agroecology, classification and restoration of sensor images. During my postgraduate experience, I researched the development of intra-municipal, demographic, environmental and health indicators, and the feasibility of their use to support actions within the scope of the Brazilian Unified Health System at the local, intra-municipal level. Among the projects and research I have participated or am currently participating in are: small-scale variations in urban air pollution levels significantly associated with premature births: a case study in São Paulo; systematization of spatial data; implementation of routine monitoring in small areas; the risks of non-communicable diseases due to traffic pollution, noise pollution, climate change and the spatial analysis of deaths from breast and cervical cancer at micro spatial scales in the city of São Paulo.
I joined the city of São Paulo as a public agent in 2003 and since 2011 I have been coordinating the Geoprocessing and Socio-Environmental Information Center, in the Epidemiology and Information Coordination of the Municipal Health Department at the local City Hall, which I represent in the Intersecretarial Technical Group of the Geographic Information System of the Municipality of São Paulo.
