FOSS4G 2018 LOC are holding a second round of grants specifically designed to support a diversity of participation at our FOSS4G 2018 conference in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. If you would benefit from financial assistance we encourage you to apply. We are particularly interested in welcome African women to the event. We will provide free registration, lodging and if needed, up to $200 USD to support your travel to Dar es Salaam. You are part of the future of open geospatial so come join us August 29-31st for these FOSS4G and Humanitarian OpenStreetMap (HOT) conferences.
This year, FOSS4G is actively collaborating with a variety of complementary organisations and initiatives, such as Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team , the Consultative Group for International Agricultural Research, and others to bring the frontier of geospatial knowledge to the world.
While encouraging diversity is a broad effort, we are happy to say that the grants programme has been a important factor in creating that reality already and we welcome this second round of impact. We welcome and encourage applications from local women and fundamentally want our community to be more diverse. So whoever you are and whatever your background, we welcome you and encourage you to apply.
