FOSSGIS Konferenz is similar to the FOSS4G conference with about 600 participants. The conference is organized by FOSSGIS e.V., OSM Community and a local team.
The FOSSGIS-Konferenz 2026 is organized by FOSSGIS e.V, the OpenStreetMap Community and the Geographic Institute of the Georg-August-Universität Göttingen.
FOSSGIS Konferenz addresses local users and businesses to meet, learn about new development & collaborate on local chapter activities in their own language.
During 4 days of conference you can visit many talks, workshops, BoFs, Community Sprint and user meetings. There is always an OSM Day. This days is an OSM barcamp for mappers and people interested.
FOSSGIS conference offers many workshops. Most of the workshops are using OSGeoLive.
We are lucky that we work together with @c3voc. So we can offer livestream of the talks and put videos online right after the conference.
OSM Activities
There are always many activities around OSM with talks, workshops and a barcamp on OSM Saturday.
FOSSGIS conferences have developed from the initiative of several small companies and communities who merged forces to be able to manage a larger event.
OSGeo has been present with a booth and as honorary host since its conception.
The FOSSGIS conference is hosted by FOSSGIS e.V., the D-A-CH (german speaking) Local Chapter of OSGeo.
