[http://foss4g-cee.org/ FOSS4G-CEE] & Geoinformatics 2012 is the first local conference focused on Free and Open Source Software for Geospatial in Central and Eastern Europe. This year, it is organized together with the traditional Geoinformatics FCE CTU and will take place in Prague in the Czech Republic.

The conference intends to move its location over the region every year. It will another local sibling of the global [http://wiki.osgeo.org/wiki/FOSS4G FOSS4G] conference, with a focus on local and regional issues.

The next "GRASS GIS Community Sprint" will take place from
May 23 to May 28, 2012 in Prague, Czech Republic directly
following the Geoinformatics FCE CTU 2012 conference.

This GRASS Community Sprint is a great occasion for you to support the development by actively contributing to the source code, manuals or likewise. It is a get together for GRASS project members and supporters to make decisions and tackle larger problems. For this meeting, we welcome people committed to improving the GRASS GIS project. This includes developers, documenters, bug reporters, translators and others.

May 23, 2012 (day of arrival) - May 28, 2012 (day of departure)

Bolsena Hacking Event 2012 (Date change!!)

After four successful years there will another code sprint in Bolsena this year from 10 to 16 June 2012.

You are welcome to sign up and join the group. Last years were very nice, relaxing and productive at the same time. There is limited space (25 beds) so don't hesitate to book your place. Full boarding for the week, including food, is 550 Euro (excl VAT) per person.

3rd international MapWindow Conference and OSGeo.nl meeting in the Netherlands

Get involved in GIS Open Source, Open Data and Open Xchange at the [http://www.mapwindow.org/conference/2012/ 3rd international MapWindow Open Source GIS Conference] at the Van Hall Larenstein University of Applied Sciences in Velp, Netherlands.

The conference is organized by the MapWindow GIS, DotSpatial, SharpMap and [http://osgeo.nl OSGeo.nl] communities in partnership with Alumni association VVA-Larenstein.

The purpose of the 4-day conference is to highlight significant aspects of Open Source GIS. The conference will appeal to developers, end-users, students and educators.

An interdisciplinary, international forum for sharing knowledge about the application of Geoinformatics with focus on application and on developing countries.
