II SASIG, 2nd Portuguese Congress for GFOSS (Évora)

Call for papers

The II SASIG intends to present case studies of Open Software for GIS's
implementation in Public Administration, organizations, education,
research, and several open solutions and interoperability between GIS
systems. We also aim to enhance training in several available
technologies and GIS programs, based on Open Source. As ultimate goal,
we aim to strengthen public participation and the Portuguese community
of Open Source Software for GIS users, by promoting the companionship in
cultural activities and a meeting with the interested in formalize the
NGO OSGEO_PT.

The format of this second SASIG conference will follow the one from last
year, with one and a half day dedicated to the presentation
communications and case studies related to Open Source GIS technology,
and another day and a half dedicated to practical workshops (basic and
advanced).

We are pleased to announce that the registration to the II SASIG are
open, with a pre registration (20% discount) until 15 September 2009.

Still, we invite all interested to submit a poster or oral communication
to do so under the rules described in http://evora.sigaberto.org (menu
item "Abstract Submission"), until 31 July 2009.
